This Return Policy outlines the conditions for returning items purchased from packlitegear.com, in compliance with applicable EU and US consumer protection laws. Please review the terms below carefully.

1. Return Eligibility

  • Standard Returns (Full-Price Items): Customers may return products within 30 calendar days from the delivery date, provided the item is in pristine, unused condition with all original packaging, tags, and included accessories (e.g., free air pump). Returns with missing components or damaged items may qualify for a partial refund, with deductions to compensate for the loss, as determined by PackLite Gear.
  • Promotional Items: Products purchased during promotional sales (e.g., discounted items) are eligible for return within 14 calendar days from delivery, subject to the same pristine condition requirements. Partial refunds apply for missing or damaged components.
  • Faulty or Defective Items: If a product is received faulty or defective, PackLite Gear will cover return shipping costs and, at our discretion, provide a full refund, replacement, or repair. Customers must report defects within 7 days of delivery, with photographic evidence sent to support@packlitegear.com.

2. Return Process

  • Initiating a Return: Customers must contact PackLite Gear at support@packlitegear.com within the applicable return period (30 days for full-price items, 14 days for promotional items) to request a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) number. Returns sent without an RMA will not be accepted.
  • Shipping Returns: Customers are responsible for return shipping costs and any applicable customs duties or taxes, unless the item is faulty or defective. Returns must be shipped with a trackable courier to: [Insert Return Address Here]. Refunds will only be issued upon receipt and inspection of the returned item.
  • Inspection: Upon receipt, PackLite Gear will inspect the item to confirm it meets return conditions. Pristine items qualify for a full refund; damaged items or those with missing components (e.g., air pump) may receive a partial refund, calculated based on the item’s condition and value of missing parts.

3. Refund Processing

  • Refunds will be issued to the original payment method within 7 business days of receiving and approving the return. Customers will be notified via email once the refund is processed.
  • For faulty/defective items, PackLite Gear may opt to replace or repair the product instead of issuing a refund, at our discretion. Replacement shipping costs will be covered by PackLite Gear.
  • Non-returnable items include those damaged by misuse, altered, or returned after the applicable return period.

4. EU and US Legal Compliance

  • EU Customers: In compliance with the EU Consumer Rights Directive (2011/83/EU), EU customers have a statutory 14-day cooling-off period from delivery to return non-faulty items without reason, provided they are in pristine condition. PackLite Gear extends this to 30 days for full-price items to enhance customer satisfaction. Customers bear return shipping and customs costs, as permitted by law.
  • US Customers: Per US Federal Trade Commission guidelines, refunds for non-faulty items are subject to our 30-day (or 14-day for promotional items) policy. Faulty items are eligible for free returns, refunds, or replacements, ensuring fair treatment.
  • International Customers: Customers outside the EU and US are subject to the same 30-day (or 14-day for promotional items) return policy. All return shipping costs, customs duties, and taxes are the customer’s responsibility, unless the item is faulty.

6. Exceptions and Edge Cases

  • Non-Returnable Scenarios: Returns are not accepted for items damaged due to improper use, modified, or returned after the 30-day (or 14-day for promotional items) period. Personalized or custom items (if offered) are non-returnable unless defective.
  • Lost Returns: PackLite Gear is not responsible for returns lost in transit. Customers are advised to use tracked shipping and retain proof of shipment.
  • Customs Delays: International returns delayed by customs processing remain the customer’s responsibility for associated costs and timely submission within the return period.
  • Promotional Accessories: Accessories included with promotional purchases (e.g., free air pump) must be returned in pristine condition for a full refund; missing accessories result in a partial refund.
